A Chia Bia Healthy Lifestyle Initiative with Niall Tuohy
Here at Chia Bia HQ, we understand the importance of a healthy diet and lifestyle for good academic performance. It’s crucial to instil this knowledge in our young people from an early age.
An advocate for health and wellbeing, Rio 2016 Olympic hopeful and Chia Bia ambassador, Niall Tuohy, will be taking time out of his hectic training schedule over the coming months to visit secondary school students across Waterford and Kilkenny as part of the Be Your Best Initiative.
Niall is familiar with teaching students in classroom and sporting capacities and he will be drawing on his own experiences as an athlete and as a medical student to form the content of the workshop.
An information pack is available for the participating schools including a Be Your Best poster that can be placed on the student notice board or in the staff room plus a leaflet that provides additional details on the programme, Niall and incorporates easy to prepare Chia Bia inspired recipes.
We are very excited to support Niall as he embarks on the Be Your Best Initiative, which coincides with his year out from studying Medicine at the University of Limerick to focus on the ‘Road to Rio’.
Niall is no stranger to the correlation between diet, exercise and good health – after suffering a major injury early in his athletic career, the National Indoor 800m Champion changed his diet to promote the healing process. You can accompany Niall on his ‘Road to Rio’ and on his journey to help students be the best that they can be by following his progress on our ‘Road to Rio’ Blog.
Niall now hopes to inspire young people to take more interest in their lifestyles and understand the benefits that even small changes can provide. If you would like to sign up for the free Be Your Best programme or if you require any further information we would love to hear from you, drop us a line to firstname.lastname@example.org or fill in the form below and we will send you more information.
