Chia Bia is a great way to start your day!  Here are some easy ways to add chia to your breakfast:

– Add to Porridge, Granola or Fruit

– Stir into Yogurt or Smoothies

– Soak overnight to make a Chia Pudding or Bircher Muesli

– Mix into Pancake Batter

– Sprinkle on Scrambled Eggs

– Include in Berry Compote or Jam to reduce sugar content



Chia Bia Granola



Chia Bia Whole Seed

Porridge oats

Sunflower seeds

Pumpkin seeds

Dessicated coconut

Any chopped nuts – brazils, hazelnuts, pecans, almonds etc

Any dried fruit – apricots, raison, dates etc.

Sunflower oil

Drop of vanilla essence

2 tablespoons of honey


  1. Gently heat the honey, vanilla essence and sunflower oil.
  2. Mix in with the dry ingredients, but leave out the dried fruit and Chia Bia.
  3. Put into a baking tray.
  4. Heat the oven to 200 degrees and then toast for 25 mins.
  5. Take out the tray, let it cool and add the dried fruit and Chia Bia…Enjoy



Chia Bia Pudding


2 tbsp Chia Bia Whole Seeds

1 cup coconut milk

Honey, to taste



Vanilla extract

Any fruit you like


  1. Place chia seeds in a bowl and add about 1/4 cup of coconut milk, stirring with a fork.
  2. Let sit for about 5 minutes, then mix out any lumps.
  3. Add the rest of the milk to the chia seeds, stir and let sit for about 15 minutes until chia seeds have swelled up and mixture has thickened.
  4. Right before serving add in the honey, spices, and fruit…yummy!
